About the bunkie bros
The Bunkie Bros started in 2022 in response to the increasing demand for affordable housing and more sustainable living. Since then, The Bunkie Bros have offered custom built bunkies, sheds and animal enclosures. With grade-a quality lumber from right here in Ontario we can deliver the bunkie of your dreams. If you can dream it, we can make it come true.
Our Bunkie Bros streamlined and precise process can deliver and build a premium quality bunkie within a matter of a few weeks. We are building structural studded buildings that meet building code requirements for occupancy.
We work with local suppliers for our sawmilling needs, and for all materials in our builds whenever possible.

FAQ
How big can we build a Bunkie?
Various sizes from 10×10 all the way up to 10×30 are more common. Anything bigger and that and you’re in small cabin territory. All sizes are possible based on building codes.
How long do your Bunkie shells take to build?
Depending on size 10×10 roughly 5-7 business days and the bigger they get the longer they take. We like to complete our projects in 2 week turnaround periods.
What are the roofing options?
You can have single or double pitched roofs. In terms of materials, you can use our supplier for metal roof and their various colours, or wood shingles like cedar shakes or you can use asphalt shingles. We at Bunkie Bros install the metal roof as part of the build however upcharge for cedar or asphalt shingles and they need to be preordered so they arrive before the build begins.
What are siding options?
We suggest either board and batten or dutch lap siding. The alternative to wood is metal, plastic or other siding applications. We at Bunkie Bros install the stock options of board and batten and Dutch lap however upcharge for any other options and they would need to be preordered so they arrive before the build begins.
How many windows and doors can I have on my bunkie?
As many as you can afford and also they need to make sense because it is a studded bunkie. The stock option we offer is one door and two windows on the front of the Bunkie or at any location of the Bunkie of your choosing.
Do you do finish carpentry and detail work inside the bunkies?
We are able to do any custom work and all planning happens before the build. We go over your dream Bunkie, what the cost of the shell will be and then all interior work will have an additional cost. Example. If you require tongue and groove walls, flooring, a fireplace installed, any options you would pay an additional service fee for. You can also hire a contractor to do all interior work.
What's the difference in between 3 seasons and 4 season Bunkie?
The main difference is our 4 season bunkies, are fully insulated and have insulated windows and doors.
Do you have any contractors that would be able to assist in completing our Bunkie shell?
We do not have a preferred supplier or contractor at this time for any add-ons or finishing work.

We can custom build your bunkie on your property exactly where you want it and there are some variations based on whether you want us to do all of your interior work or you would want to hire another carpenter. We would come out to build the shell of the bunkie and the remaining can be done by either you or us. Use the custom bunkie builder floating button to design your own!
BUNKIE KITS
We can build your bunkie kit that can be assembled by you and another worker with instructions.
ROUGH LUMBER
We sell rough cut lumber from 1×1 all the way up to 12×12 and any dimensions in between. Please inquire about pricing. It will be slightly different than big box but here is a small list of our size runs that we can cut at any time (LIMITED STOCK):

PORTABLE SAWMILLING SERVICE
We come to you and mill lumber on your property and build your dream bunkie, shed, garden home, out building, chicken coop, rabbit hutch or any animal enclosure, or you may just need a lot of lumber milled on site if you own a woodlot.
